Vice Adm. Robert B. Murrett, USN
Admiral Murrett serves as the director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Prior to his appointment, he served as the director of Naval Intelligence. Previously Murrett served as the vice director for Intelligence, J2, on the Joint Staff; director for Intelligence, U. S. Joint Forces Command; commander, Atlantic Intelligence Command; director, Intelligence Directorate, Office of Naval Intelligence; chief of Naval Operations Staff as executive assistant to the director of Naval Intelligence. Murrett earned a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Buffalo and master’s degrees in government and strategic intelligence from Georgetown University and the Defense Intelligence College, respectively.
