Acting Director, Global Innovation and Strategy Center, United States Strategic Command
Colonel Gilbert serves as acting director of the Global Innovation and Strategy Center, United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb. Previously, he served as chief, Innovation Group, Global Innovation and Strategy Center; commander, 5th Operations Group, Minot Air Force Base, N.D.; commander, 36th Expeditionary Operations Group, Andersen Air Base, Guam; as well as deputy chief, strategy, plans and policy division, and deputy chief, policy, doctrine and international affairs division, USSTRATCOM. Gilbert earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Austin Peay State University, Tenn., and a master’s degree, aeronautical science, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Fla.
